10 Best Bluetooth Speakers 2026 in the United States

The Sonos Era 100 is a wireless smart speaker designed to deliver high-quality sound with clear stereo separation and deeper bass thanks to its advanced dual-tweeter setup and larger midwoofer. It connects mainly via WiFi but also supports Bluetooth and auxiliary input, making it flexible for various devices. While it doesn’t have a built-in battery, meaning it needs to stay plugged in, its compact size makes it easy to place around your home, like on a desk or bookshelf. This speaker is not waterproof, so it’s best kept indoors away from water.

One of its standout features is the Trueplay tuning technology, which adjusts the sound automatically to fit the room’s unique acoustics for better listening. It also supports voice control through Alexa, adding convenience. Despite being heavier than many portable Bluetooth speakers and lacking battery power, its sound quality and smart features position it as a strong choice for users seeking a premium indoor speaker setup rather than for on-the-go use.

The Sonos Move 2 is a versatile wireless portable Bluetooth speaker designed for high-quality sound and convenience. It features an enhanced acoustic architecture with two tweeters, providing a richer stereo sound with clear vocals and detailed instruments. The speaker also includes a precision-tuned woofer for deep, dynamic bass, making it great for music enthusiasts who appreciate high-fidelity audio. Additionally, the automatic Trueplay tuning adjusts the sound based on the surroundings to ensure an optimal listening experience everywhere you go.

With up to 24 hours of battery life, the Sonos Move 2 doubles the playback time of its predecessor, making it suitable for long trips or events. It is built to withstand various outdoor conditions, thanks to its shock-absorbent materials and IP56 rating, which protects against drops, spills, rain, dirt, and dust. Although slightly heavier at 6.61 pounds, the built-in handle and wireless charging base enhance its portability. The speaker supports multiple connectivity options, including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB, and NFC, and is compatible with smartphones and tablets.

A notable drawback is its somewhat limited Bluetooth range of 10 meters. Additionally, the charging time is quite long at 24 hours. The Sonos Move 2 includes special features like Hi-Res Audio, multi-room audio, a built-in microphone, and dustproof capabilities, making it a comprehensive option for both indoor and outdoor use.

The Sonos Move 2 is a strong choice if you want a portable Bluetooth speaker with excellent sound quality. It improves on its predecessor by using two tweeters and a finely tuned woofer, offering clear vocals, detailed instruments, and rich bass that can make music feel lively and immersive. Thanks to its Trueplay tuning, the speaker adapts its sound to wherever you are, ensuring a good listening experience indoors or outdoors. Battery life has doubled compared to the previous model, providing up to 24 hours of playback on a single charge, which is great for long outings or parties.

Although it weighs around 6.6 pounds, which is heavier than many portable speakers, it includes a built-in handle to help with transport. The Move 2 is built tough with shock-absorbent materials and an IP56 rating, meaning it can handle dust, dirt, rain, and splashes, but it is not fully waterproof, so submerging it is not recommended. Connectivity options are versatile, including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Airplay, and NFC, allowing easy pairing with various devices and the ability to use it in multi-room setups. It also supports voice and touch controls and comes with a wireless charging dock for added convenience.

On the downside, its 10-watt output may not be as loud as some competing outdoor speakers, and its size and weight might make it less convenient for those looking for ultra-light portability. If you prioritize sound quality, battery life, and durability for both indoor and outdoor use, the Sonos Move 2 remains a solid, versatile option.
