10 Best Inflatable Kayak For Fishing 2026 in the United States

The Pelican Catch Mode 110 is a solid choice for fishing enthusiasts looking for a stable and comfortable kayak. Its high molecular weight polyethylene construction makes it durable yet relatively lightweight at 63-67 pounds, which is manageable for one person to transport and launch. The length of about 10.5 feet offers a good balance between maneuverability and space. It supports up to 375 pounds, accommodating most anglers comfortably along with gear. The kayak’s tunnel hull design enhances stability, making it easier to stand and cast without worrying about tipping over — a big plus for fishing.

The comfortable ERGOBOOST seating system with adjustable height and EVA padding adds to long hours on the water without fatigue. Fishing-specific features like three flush-mount rod holders keep your rods accessible but out of the way. Storage under the seat is convenient for smaller essentials. The kayak is not inflatable but a hard sit-on-top model, so it’s less compact for storage compared to inflatables, but its lighter weight helps offset that. It also meets safety standards with additional flotation in the hull, giving peace of mind.

If you want a reliable, stable kayak focused on fishing comfort and stability without the bulk of heavier models, the Catch Mode 110 is a strong candidate. Should portability and compact storage be your top priorities, an inflatable kayak might better suit your needs.

The Intex Excursion Pro K2 is a solid choice for fishing enthusiasts looking for a durable and stable inflatable kayak that fits two people. Made with a tough 3-ply laminate PVC, it stands out for its resistance to abrasion, sunlight, and impacts, giving you confidence in rougher conditions. With a weight capacity of 400 pounds, it comfortably holds two adults plus gear, and its size (about 12.7 feet long and 3.1 feet wide) strikes a good balance between stability and maneuverability. It inflates to a firm shape thanks to high-pressure valves, helping it stay steady on the water.

The kayak comes with handy fishing features like two detachable rod holders and mounts for a GoPro or phone, which add to the convenience during a fishing trip. Storage space in the bow and stern, along with stainless steel D-rings, lets you safely secure your belongings. Portability is decent since it folds into a carry bag, though it weighs around 45 pounds, which might be somewhat heavy for solo transport. The package also includes two paddles, a high-output pump, and a repair kit, making it ready for immediate use.

The 90-day limited warranty is quite short compared to some competitors, and the plastic materials, while sturdy, may not match the premium feel of higher-end kayaks. This kayak suits casual anglers or beginners who want a reliable, easy-to-use fishing kayak with most necessary accessories included.

The Intex 2-Person Inflatable Kayak, Explorer K2, is designed for those who want to enjoy kayaking on lakes and mild rivers. Made from rugged vinyl material, it emphasizes durability and stability. The kayak's inflatable I-beam floor, high-buoyancy side chambers, and removable skeg contribute to its stability and ease of navigation, which is beneficial for a relaxing fishing experience.

With a weight capacity of 400 pounds and measuring 10.3 feet in length by 3 feet in width, it comfortably accommodates two adults, making it suitable for tandem fishing trips. The kayak is relatively lightweight at 35.02 pounds and comes with a carrying bag, making it quite portable and easy to store. The Boston valve allows for quick inflation and deflation, adding to its convenience. The included accessories, such as the aluminum oars, inflatable seats with backrests, and high-output pump, ensure you have everything you need for immediate use.

The kayak's bright yellow color and sporty design make it highly visible in the water, enhancing safety. In conclusion, the Intex Explorer K2 is a practical choice for casual fishing enthusiasts looking for a portable and user-friendly kayak, though it may not meet the needs of those requiring a more robust and spacious option.
