10 Best Double Sided Laser Printer 2026 in the United States

The Ricoh Aficio MP C4504 is a solid choice for offices needing a reliable double-sided color laser printer that also handles copying, scanning, and faxing. It offers a fast print speed of 45 pages per minute for both black-and-white and color, which helps keep up with busy workflows. Print quality is strong at 1200 x 1200 dpi, delivering sharp and vibrant results suitable for professional documents. With four paper trays and a maximum sheet capacity of 4700, it supports large print jobs and a variety of paper sizes up to A3, making it flexible for diverse printing needs. The automatic duplex feature allows double-sided printing without manual intervention, saving paper and time.

Connectivity options include built-in Wi-Fi and USB ports, providing easy network access and compatibility with different devices. The touchscreen panel simplifies control and navigation. Consumables like toner cartridges may be on the pricier side, reflecting the device's business-focused design. The duty cycle supports high volume printing, but the 90-day limited warranty might be shorter than some expect for a device of this type.

As a renewed unit, this printer demonstrates good reliability and performance according to customer feedback. It is well suited for small to medium offices that need multifunction capabilities, fast color printing, and robust paper handling. However, it may be less ideal for those seeking the lowest ongoing running costs or longer warranty coverage.

The Brother DCP-L2640DW is a versatile monochrome laser printer that stands out for small businesses and home offices seeking a compact multi-function device. With impressive print speeds of up to 36 pages per minute, it efficiently handles both printing and scanning tasks, making it ideal for busy environments. The 50-page auto document feeder enhances productivity by allowing for quick multi-page scanning and copying, which is a great time-saver.

In terms of connectivity, this printer offers flexible options including dual-band wireless, Ethernet, and USB connections, catering to various office setups. The Brother Mobile Connect app is an excellent feature for users who need to manage printing jobs on-the-go, adding convenience to operations.

Print quality is solid, with a maximum resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi, ensuring clear and professional-looking documents. The automatic duplex printing capability is another strong point, allowing for double-sided printing that saves paper and reduces costs.

However, there are a few drawbacks to consider. While it excels in monochrome printing, limitations exist for color printing as it is strictly a black and white printer. The printer is relatively substantial in weight at 25 pounds, which may make it less portable for those who need to move it frequently. Additionally, users need to keep an eye on the cost of consumables, as toner can be expensive, although the Refresh subscription service can help alleviate some of the hassle.

The Brother DCP-L2640DW is a robust choice for users in need of a reliable, fast, and efficient double-sided laser printer, especially in settings where high-volume black and white printing is necessary. Just be mindful of its limitations related to color printing and weight.

The Brother MFC-L3720CDW Wireless Digital Color All-in-One Printer is a well-rounded choice for small offices needing a reliable multifunction device. It offers decent print speeds at up to 19 pages per minute (ppm) for both monochrome and color printing, making it suitable for environments where moderate printing volume is expected. The 2400 x 600 dpi resolution ensures good print quality for both text and images, although it might not meet the standards required for professional photo printing.

The automatic duplex printing feature is a significant advantage for reducing paper usage and creating professional double-sided documents efficiently. Paper handling is robust, with a 250-sheet capacity and a 50-page Auto Document Feeder, which helps to automate and expedite multi-page tasks like copying, scanning, and faxing. Connectivity is another strong suit, with dual-band Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct enabling easy and flexible connections, along with a USB 2.0 interface for direct local connections.

However, the printer's memory is somewhat limited at 64 MB, which could affect performance during large print jobs. The cost of consumables, particularly Brother Genuine Toner, is a consideration with the potential for savings through the Refresh EZ Print Subscription Service, including a 2-month free trial. At 44 pounds, it is quite heavy and may not be as portable as some other models. The touchscreen interface and voice control via Alexa provide convenient user interaction. Despite some limitations, such as lower memory and potentially higher consumable costs, the Brother MFC-L3720CDW balances features and performance, making it a solid choice for small office settings. It’s especially suitable for users who value good print quality, duplex printing, and a variety of connectivity options.
